Davante Adams from Raiders Says He and Derek Carr ‘Nearly Died Together’

Many don’t realize that Las Vegas Fellows Raiders Derek Carr and Davante Adams were on the same team prior to the latter’s blockbuster deal this season.

Fresno where Carr and Adams threw They were caught during their collective career. But they also shared an intense, life-threatening moment together that will never be forgotten.

“We could have died together” Adams told ESPN.

One day, his classmates decided to go white water rafting up the Kings River in the Sierra Nevada mountains near their school, and it turned out to be a very bad decision.

Accompanied by Carr’s current wife, Heather, tour guide, Ryan Soares, said there was one rule of thumb on the trip: “Don’t stop paddling.” Well, that’s exactly what happened when they entered Banzai Hole, a very difficult speed to paddle through.

“I stop paddling as soon as we get there because – literally – we were slipping,” Adams said.

They started falling from their raft one by one. Soares even said that you “technically” could die quickly, although he doesn’t really think that’s a possibility. But Adams admitted that this was the moment when it would all be over for him, with a life waiting for him in the NFL as well as Carr.

Fortunately, this was not the case. They had to swim ashore before encountering a 75-foot-high rock face, and they managed to do so.

In order to get back, though, they had to go back to the raft and finish off the pace. One could only imagine his thoughts at that moment, but the golden rule was not broken this time.

“After we cleaned up the boat, we talked on the beach, again, about how important it was to never stop paddling. From that moment on, they were the best paddlers ever,” Soares said.

Of course, there are risks involved in playing football, but Carr and Adams will probably feel safer in pads and helmets on the lawn when it comes to their craving for adrenaline.
