With the release of NBA 2K23 on September 9, players and basketball fans around the world are already clamoring for individual player ratings.

Before they start rolling, we’ll be expecting who will get the biggest change from their final mark in 2K22.

It’s an exercise that can be a little tricky, as modern games allow for constant updates throughout the season, but there are still a few ratings that seem like safe bets to change.

This is not necessarily a recommendation for what should Rather what will happen.

    2K22’s latest review: 81

Jalen Bronson is headed to Mecca for basketball, where he will definitely be the best player in the New York Knicks (since they haven’t traded Donovan Mitchell).

As of the last update, RJ Barrett was 85 years old. It seems relatively easy to anticipate Bronson getting there.

And the jump wouldn’t be without an advantage, either.

During the regular season, Bronson Average 23.0 points and 7.7 assists per 75 possessions when Luka Doncic was off the ground. Then, in the playoffs, he scored 21.6 points in 34.9 minutes overall.

The average scoring seems to have a pretty good grip on the ratings makers’ minds, and predicting he’ll be in his high teens or twenties is pretty reasonable.

Something in the 85-86 feels right.

    Latest NBA 2K22 Rating: 82

TJ Warren hasn’t played a single game in 2021-22. He participated in only four matches in 2020-21.

Maintaining a rating in the ’80s is either an indictment of developers or too much confidence in his bubble and injury recovery for nearly two years.

In six bubble games before the 2020 playoffs, Warren averaged 31.0 points and 3.7 triples while shooting 57.8 percent from the field and 52.4 percent from three.

It was a running escape, but it probably doesn’t guarantee he’ll stay in force at 82.

At this point, there is no way to know what kind of player Warren is. And it’s fair to wonder if the type of foot injuries that may have caused him this long could have a long-term effect on him.

Going deeper into all the reviews, the developers will definitely pick up on this and slip it into the 70s.

    Latest NBA 2K22 Rating: 82

Associating ratings for this game always requires an element of guesswork. The developers basically predict how players will perform over the next nine or ten months. It’s more than just a shot in the dark for budding and sophomore players.

But there is reason to believe a leap is coming for Rookie of the Year Scotty Barnes.

After averaging 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.7 blocks in 2021-22, Barnes is expected to score 7.8 wins over substitution by FiveThirtyEightprojection system. Only 18 players in the league are expected to have more.

Of course, 2K doesn’t base its ratings on FiveThirtyEight, but Barnes’ multi-site defense, forward capabilities and advanced cleavage are worth two or three points for 2K23.

    Latest NBA 2K22 Rating: 82

Kyle Lowry enters his campaign at the age of 36 after averaging 13.4 points last season. This was its lowest scoring rate since 2012-13.

Given his age and injury history, it’s fair to expect the decline to continue.

In addition to missing 19 regular season games and eight playoff games in 2021-22, Lowry has averaged just 52 appearances over the previous two years.

Now, durability doesn’t seem to significantly affect the game’s overall rating, but compound injuries can slow the player down.

As he approaches his forties, Lowry’s rating is likely to be in his seventies.

    Latest NBA 2K22 Rating: 84

This is one of those deceptive ones.

Updates in the season have raised Desmond Bunny to 84, well above the average for two keepers in the game. It still doesn’t feel high enough.

Payne is tied for 23rd place in the league in the above FiveThirtyEight Drops, one of the most dangerous ground breaks in the NBA.

Last season, he averaged 3.0 three times and fired 43.6 percent from deep. There is only Seven Other players in league history have matched or surpassed both marks in a single season: Stephen Curry (four times), Klay Thompson (twice), Bogdan Bogdanovic, Joe Harris, JJ Redick, Duncan Robinson and Peja Stojakovic.

This, in concert with Bane’s switchable defensive ability and improved gameplay, would make him one of the best shooting rangers in 2K23.

    Latest NBA 2K22 Rating: 92

Again, this is more of a prediction of what will happen rather than what should happen.

Much of the narrative surrounding James Harden’s death felt exaggerated. Yes, he looked a little slower than he did during his best days with the Houston Rockets, but Harden still averaged 21.0 points and 10.5 assists as a Philadelphia 76er last season. It dropped to 18.6 and 8.6 in the playoffs, but the team was still notable better when playing.

Having said all that, novels It can be hard to beat. And anticipating the slowdown intensifying in his 33-year season isn’t entirely disrespectful. It’s officially in the post-ministerial period. This happens to everyone.

Harden can still be one of the best passers and point guards in the game. He can still help the Sixers, but his ’90s days in 2K may be behind him.
